The last 24 hours has been hell around here! Severe thunder storms, pouring rain, crazy lightning, 60mph wind, tornados have killed 18 people and it's not over yet. Just want to say how thankful I am to have been in the middle of all this and somehow I haven't even lost power (so far). Fingers crossed. A few more hours and we're in the clear for the start of a new week.

The whole country seems to be having some insane weather. How is the weather where you are?
 
Lucky ass! I'm surrounded by beaches too but the weather sucks lately. When I was writing the above post it crossed my mind that I shouldn't say how lucky I've been until I'm outta the woods & I hesitated, then decided to write it anyway Then I'll be damned less than 5 mins later all the cell phones start going off like sirens, I get a text then a call from the county emergency alert system to take cover due to a tornado on the ground in my area!
I was like "I freakin' knew I shouldn't have wrote that"! Grab the mattress & head to the hallway!
All is well tho! Last I heard it was a water spout over the river about 20 miles away.
Hurricane Matthew gave me ptsd I think. I wanna move.
 
I haven't seen the sun for more the 2 days in a row in weeks. Its right around the freezing mark and they are calling for 6 to 8" of snow late monday to early tuesday. I agree with potted, very depressing!
 
Red stay inside safe and sound. our weather is unseasonably warm. Drizzle and fog for a few days now. The talk of the town was a bad winter for us.......so far about 1 inch snow two times.
 
i woke up to weather that elicited a "GALE warning" literally didn't know there was such a thing....then proceeded to watch said wind rip my 15 yr old patio cover out by its screws... glad everyone is safe
 
yeah, me too!! especially all the big and little critters that live around me.... neighbors' trash cans and garden hose caddies flying down the road like they was going to church...lol!!
 
Glad to hear that you are all right! I can sympathize with you about tornados, I live in the western end of 'tornado ally'. Keep safe and I'll sacrifice a small animal for You! LOL! Not really, maybe the neighbors howling cat!
 
Glad the tornado knew better than to hit you Red! All sorts of extreme weather across nation, however I've been so lucky to escape so far...milder than normal January has allowed me to get out in my backyard and make some walking trails. Stay safe! 🌻
 
76 above for the high today, And did I mention the sun is shining!

It's been in the 50's and monsoon all week. Today is the first time in days i've seen the sun lol. Normal for Georgia this time of year.
