How to manage growing direction

Hi, my seedling are coming up and starting to stretch, how and when do I manage the plant to help it grow in the right ways do max yield, the plants are northern lights auto. I am first time grower and have heard stuff about ‘topping’ and pinning parts down and cutting off certain leaves. Any help is appreciated

Hey riz, I could tell you but Nebula can tell you alot better, read some of her tutorials about training plants, its not hard.
And I've grow NLAUTO before, and mine got huge, and is some good mellow smoke, I got mine from Nirvana. I grew another one that didn't get so big.

Thanks daas I’ll look, 3 of my NL auto seeds have just sprouted yesterday, very exited just a bit nervous as it’s my first grow I don’t want lanky plants with no branches

Exciting times watching those first seedlings sprout!
In addition to Nebula's tutorials, I got three specific tips for you:

1. Keep seedlings in the appropriate size containers. This promotes good root development and better plant structure
2. Keep the lights the appropriate distance. This prevents stretching for light
3. Don't do any training until the plants have 5 or 6 nodes (Node= set of serrated leaves).

What would be the best training for my nlauto? What did u do with ur 6oz plant to achieve that yield size

Hey riz, I didn't do anything special to her ,but give her some molasses, she was growing in KindSoil. That's a living soil, its got all your nutrients in it, all you do is add water. Super easy to use, and it works great.
Northern Lights are know to get huge, where did you get your seeds.?
Oh yeah, your gonna do fine with your plants, just don't overwater them.
Only training I did on my best NL, was to just bend her over like 90degrees, when she was about 12days old, that doesn't stress them too bad, that way,
If you want them to finish quickly, don't stress them, some autos like topping, some dont.
