how to grow your own auto seeds

i am thinking of growing my own auto seeds good idea or not? if so how could i go about it does only one of the parents need to be auto if so which one should be auto lol can both parents be auto and is it hard to get auto males with good genes

It seems to me when you buy auto seeds, don't you have a choice? fem or reg. I'm guessing that would be some of each, same strain. But I know nothing about autos

I would by reg auto seeds. Both parents should be autos to be safe. You could also use the colidol silver on a fem auto to make fem auto seeds.

Auto flowering gene is a simple recessive so both parents must be auto.

thanks folks for all the information its something am thinking of doing down the line because seeds are so dam expensive am also thinking of maybe switching to super autos or photos lol

Def seems like a good plan, grow a bunch of Auto seeds, reasonably quick, then have a good supply for a while!
Been thinkin' of doing the same thing. Feminizing with coloidal silver would save a lot of energy for subsequent grows.
