I have never seen DE sprayed all over a plant deliberately. Sometimes I’ll apply it to dry surface soil but that takes care because the DE is so fine there could be a dust storm of it.
This is a closeup of your plant. It appears severely burned. If the DE is not food grade it could have crushed limestone in it. That would poison the plant. DE is made of microscopic crystals that pierce the shell of insects. Probably pierced the leaf surface here, too.
As far as I know this may be the first case of overdosing a cannabis plant with silicon. IDK.
Hey Jay1245, dont worry about the DE on your leaves...it causes zero problems. I dusted a complete vegging crop for a few weeks to cure a thripe issue. Worked like a charm. I wouldnt recommend putting any on the actual buds though. Looking at your latest pic that PeterMatanzas enlarged, i think you have other issues...seems that most of your new growth has curled up and burned. Very dark green also. Have you had a really close look at them..for bugs? And what are you using for nutes? maybe too hot
