HYDRO How to finish strong in flowering

Fantastic looking grow but I suspect you are light burning/bleaching your top leaves.

A 600W full spectrum LED is sort of equivalent to around 800W+ of HPS. Watch your temps. Keep them under 24⁰C now..RH around 50% and lowering.

Edit. Aim for quality first, quantity second. Quality is everything.

Yeah, you're right about the light burning/bleaching. I noticed that the 3 tallest colas in the back are getting bleached on top. I need to see if I can find a way to attach the fixture directly to the top of the tent, which would add another 8" or so. The fixture came with those triangle metal hanger thingies that add like 8" of height for no reason. I was reading on GWE to get some zip ties and use them to attach the fixture to the top bars of the tent.

Thanks again for all the advice 🙏

They do look great but dont get i a hurry now, after the pistils draw in and turn brown is when the home stretch starts, no pun on stretch intended. They have a lot of swelling to do between now and harvest.

Some under canopy lighting would help heaps here. Keep plucking fans out of the way of the buds. Not much point moving them out of the way as you should have a breeze that strong that those buds are moving around now. Lots of breeze to get air changeover and lower temps in those buds.

I think they're about 9 weeks from 12/12 now. I had noticed many of the leaves were turning yellow, and thought it was purely light stress from the grow light being too close. But I noticed even some of the lower leaves were getting yellow on the left plant, and those leaves weren't exposed to the light.

On this page about flowering stage nutrient deficiencies, I saw a plant with symptoms whose leaves looked exactly like mine and it was caused by "Nutrient Depletion (Plant is Hungry for More Nutrients)". It mentioned that the bigger the buds, the more nutrients the plant needs.

So I raised the nutrient levels from 3/4 strength to full strength with the GH Flora trio. I noticed many of the leaves started turning green again. They're still lime green, but better than yellow! I'm not sure if they'll continue to improve, or this is as green as they'll get. I don't think I should give more than full strength nutrients in case it gives them nutrient burn.

Just monitoring pH now. I'm afraid to defoliate more leaves in case the plant ends up needing them. I do wish I had defoliated the plants harder earlier on, but every grow always teaches lessons.

Not much else to do but wait!

Thanks! I try to keep the PH between 5.8-6.5. The temperature is hovering around 80-85F at the hottest part of the day, and the humidity gets up to 55%.

For air circulation, I've got a strong (loud) exhaust fan, 2 clip-on fans on the bars blowing air above and through the plants, plus a table fan on bottom blowing air under the plants. It's halfway to being a vortex in there lol

I am getting a little worried about bud rot. But I know if I get a dehydrator it will make the room hotter, so I would probably have to get an AC too 🙃

Yes. I run a AC cool 1.5kw full time and a 3.something kw AC part time and a 800w dehumidifier (50ltrs/day) full time mid to late flower with 5 plants producing around 7 pound with a bit over 2000W of LEDs, to give you an idea, and that's running in winter with ambient temps ranging from a low of 0⁰C to a high of around 21⁰C going into and out of winter.

I get my RH down to 40% with a lot of plant material and temp around 22 to 23⁰C.

Total cost inc amortisation over 5 years and elec, nutes, jars, pH probe, everything is about US$17 to $20/oz. Which is pretty good for the highest grade stuff you can find.

I'm not complaining.

In Maine the dispensary weed is shit but I try it on occasion as testers, Last time I was in CA I bought some and it was a disapointment too.
The only thing I have picked up at a dispensary worth a damn is the 400mg gummies from Baked Bliss and 1/2 of one reminds me of Roar 714 back in the day. The editor for Easy Rider did an article about them and started with "how do I explan sitting on the porch for 8 hours and have the best time of my life" and thats a pretty good explaination. When people started making them in thier basements at triple strength I called it quits.

Bluey That's an OUTSTANDING yield. It's clear you're giving your plants the perfect environment to produce to their best. Just curious, which LEDs are you using?

Thanks! And I didn't realize that. Hmmm that's good to know. My humidity isn't tooo high so if an AC lowered the humidity just 5-10% it would be perfect.

I'm using a mix of lights. That 7lb is 5lb premium across 5 plants and 2lb good for extracts. Still quite potent but not as dense, less bag appeal so to speak. That was my last grow, it was a jungle in there.

Setup Inc lights in my sig

Yikes!!!
Glad I produce my own extract.
Georgia will probably be the last state in the union to legalize.

Back in the early 80's I was somewhere between Moltrey and Ky and I pulled into a gas station to get some ciggs. I walked in with hair down to my ass wearing Bib overalls and no shirt and the 300lb guy behind the counter had a crewcut all over his body with the sheriff standing was standing next to him. I asked him for a pack of Marlboro's and he said "we dong have any" I said I can see them behind you. He leaned over the counter and said son the only thing I am willing to sell you is gas to get the hell out of town, That is whe I saw the sheriffs holster was unlatched and I said understand and I lit out of there like the Uneasy rider. It was almost 40 years before I went back to Georgia and that was on a plane after I quit smoking ciggs.
