How often / much to water ?

Hello everyone, I forgot to ask about watering. My first grow. Auto flower, one plant, one pot, soil less mix, grow room 4X4 . How often and how much to water in veg. and flowering state.? Is there a general rule of thumb to this or is it more by site and overall appearance of the flower as it goes.? Thanks for any help.... Peace

I use a cheep ph/moister meter under 20 bucks and then water when meter is half way dry . seedlings very weak or no nutes for first week then 1/4 strength nutes for a week then 1/2 so on so on I only give enough water to last 2 days for seedling and 3 days for everything else this gives me the opportunity to water twice a week pot likes to get soaked and then dry out if you water to early the root sit in water and you could get root rot
