How often do you check your plants ????

Ok, So my first grow I was down the cellar checking my plants like 8-10 times a day and spent anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes each time ( depended on what I was doing). Now I generally check em 3-4 times a day and spend about 10 minutes average each time. Id really like to know how much time other people spend with there girls,, ha.

When they were in Veg, I hung out with them most of the time the lights were out, if I could (Veg'd 18/6, but did not respect the darkness). I actually set up a chair so I could sit there and do work! Probably helps that my tent is in my office.
I never go into the tent when lights are on. Now that they are in Flower I can only see them twice a day, so I am there waiting each day, because there really are things to do. No more time to just hang out with them, because all my time comes at the expense of light.
I do have a webcam in the tent... Actually two... One is connected to the WiFi and will stream to my phone.
So maybe I have a problem...

On days off probably 6-10 times a few minutes each time. Way more time on watering days. When I work I look in on them 3 times for probably 15 minutes each or so.

I only check them once a day......

Being that it is an Indoor grow (Controlled Enviorment) I think thats plenty enough time to spot a deficiency or pest. I do have a webcam installed and I can remotely monitor temperature and humidity as well as I get a text message if there is any motion in the cabinet or the environment gets out of wack.

I somtimes go a couple of days with out checking them , though thats not the Norm.. I dont babysit the tomato plants nor peppers 🌶 neither. For the most part, Its just another plant in the garden..though its required to be in a cabinet or tent due to the light schedule.

I also have a gropro controller by cloudponics and once i get it dialed in for my drip system ill be able to leave for a few days here and there.

I believe everything should be in moderation, If I have to treat them like an infant or a puppy I would get tired of them real quick. The way I have them setup its enjoyable to grow.

Now...if you enjoy being with youre garden 24/7 and you have a life schedule that allows that....😏

I certainly dont see a problem with it.

Veg pretty much whenever I can. I did find it funny towards the end of flower on my first grow I felt far less interested in checking on them until I thought they might be ready. I’d look at the flowering plants for 15 seconds then go stare at the seedlings lol

On average, if all is well, I'd say about 3 times a day. I have to go in there to check the pH in the nutes reservoir and change the ice blocks in my water chiller anyway, so I give my babies a quick checkup too.

twice a day. Once when I get up in the morning to make sure nothing weird happened overnight, and before I go to bed to make sure the temp and air flow and light is right. I don't know how often my husband checks on them, he says he leaves them alone, but will slip up and tell me how one has grown!! They are autos so light is no problem, and that's where my washer and dryer are so I have to use the room.

Two or three times a day for the most part. They get separation anxiety if I don't come in, check on them, and lovingly call them my beautiful girls. Some may think I spoil them...

3-5 times a day. Morning and late afternoon to add water to the rez and check pH. Other times just to make sure everything is blowing and flowing like it should.
I miss doing it between grows. Watching the girls grow is very entertaining.

Twice a day. I have a 1 1/2 gal humidifier that needs to be filled twice a day so I'm in there already and I check heat, humidity, etc.

Lol its funny, some days il check once to make sure the temps are where they need to be, but some days il get lost in the gwe forums and looking at everyones amazing plants or il be reading an article about cannabis and its gets me so excited that ill go look at my plants for a bit.

I think the key thing here is that it's fascinating to watch your crop come up and thrive. :) Then once training starts, it seems like there's endless fussing required. My coco grow is being watered/fed three times a day from a timer, so sometimes I don't check in for 48 hours, which was the whole point--this grow I don't want to be a slave to may plant and even to be able to get away on vacation if I want!

I check on them 2-3 times a day. Once in the morning for foliar feeding and then in the evening to check both tents again with lights on (one is in flower) for veg foliar and scrog tucking/feeding/watering. Then sometimes a third peek about an hour before lights out.

I did the same thing with my last coco grow...set up 2, 5 gallon buckets with pumps and timer to feed 3, 5 gallon smart pots...one on a different feeding schedule than the other 2. Had everything gravity fed drain to a 15 gallon reservoir. Didn't have to put much time in at all. Really enjoyed the DIY aspect of setting it up and tweaking it.

Funny thing though...on this grow, I went back to manually watering and sucking up the runoff with a vacuum. I felt to "Removed" from my girls with the other setup.
Now I'm into removing them from the tent for LST and watering and feel "closer" to the girls.

For this grow I have no vacations planned so I'll continue doing everything manually. If I ever plan a vacation during a grow....I'll go back to the auto feed/drain setup.

Funny; the last part of your comment sounds a lot like me. Every time I read an article about weed anywhere online or from a magazine or watch a youtube video with new information that could help my plants, I always head straight for the grow room to see if I can apply those techniques or think of ways to simplify them lol.
