SOIL How much nute burn is acceptable?

Day 20 of flower. Feeding only once a week, watering as needed
Per 4L:
3 mL Cal mag+
6 mL flora micro
12 mL flora bloom
Silica to adjust pH up to 6.5 (usually about 1/4 the amount of bloom, 3 mL)

500 mL per 3 gallon bag. I don't ever get run off, I pour very slowly. Same with water.

​​​​​​Anyone following my posts knows last week was stressful. This week I cut the micro and bloom down by 50% and fed the same volume.

Think we need a flush? Or is reduced amounts enough to keep it in check? ​​​​

500ml of water for a 3-gallon fabric pot is not nearly enough. I give a full gallon to 5-gallon with very little runoff. I imagine you have a shallow root ball. With that amount of water in a pot for that size plant, you must be watering every other day, at least, or your plant is getting way too dry.
I water about every 3 days, full nutes. If you are using 1/4 bloom nutes once a week, you are not using very much.
Yellow leaf parts means something is happening. Brown leaf parts means something happened. Correcting a problem last week may not show results until next week. Very little happens overnight. When you get those yellow leaf parts, you have to ride it out and see what happens.
Your light is so weak that you are only getting decent light at the top of the plant. Everything below the top 12" is sucking energy from the buds that have the best chance of decency.
After saying all that, go to the GWE website and do some research. Don't rely on the forum to grow for you.
 
I apologize for the beginners excitement and for going too hard on the forum. Before all I had was research, I started on the GWE site (and others). But I've had a lot of problems in a short period of time, and this forum helped me get through them. I'm very grateful to everyone.

I feed 500 ml per 3 gal. They get much more water than that, as needed. Maybe I missed it on the website, there's plenty of info on dilutions but I couldn't seem to figure out how often and how much per plant.

This is all approximation but should give you a good starting place:
• Every 7 -10 days feed
• When your growing medium feels dry to the second knuckle of your index finger - water with ph balanced water
• After 10 days to 2 weeks swap the above
• Pay attention to your plants - they are all different and may need you to adjust ph or additives to reach their best and fullest potential
• Of course no nute burn is best but you just have to do the best you can and keep in mind that the goal is to grow potent buds; not pretty leaves.

I like using syringe to suck up the amount needed to dilute into water. Just pickup one at the drug store or ???? really makes it easy.

SoOrbudgal I'm using volumetric pipets for the same reason. I don't like pouring out of the bottles into a measuring spoon. Syringe would probably last longer being plastic though.

That's how I have been watering. I try not to disturb the soil too much ( I still do sometimes), I can tell by the weight and appearance when it's dry enough to water. After re-reading the GWE article on yellow leaf tips, I doubt I am overfeeding. It's likely beginnings of the opposite, and signs of last weeks environment stress showing up.

Feed as soil dries and water once a week? Just making sure that's what you mean. I genuinely expected to be using a lot more nutrients by now so that would make sense.

What tip burn? I burn my plant tips way more than what I'm seeing here. For me it's just an indicator to the max that they will take as far as nutrient. Once I see tip burn I back off the mix a little and, depending on their stage of growth, will continue to push to see where their limit is periodically.

With all due respect to BU2B, do not use your finger as a dry guide. Use the light pot method. It is more accurate as to when your plants need water.
 
You should check out the last Newsletter. Honest - NebulaHaze has put an exceptional complete grow guide together and gives links so you can read or share at your leisure.

For me I tend to use less nutrients than are called for on the label. Consider the label amount to be your maximum and only use it on occasion. Ph is best if you vary it slightly. This will allow your plant to absorb a fuller range of nutrients and they will be healthier.

Here’s what I’m saying … only a suggestion but it works for me:
Mix your nutrients and water and ph balance -
Mix your ph balanced water -
For 7 -10 days give the nutrients mix first - use it all up
During this time if your plant gets dry top off with ph balanced water only not more nutrients
When your designated time period is over (I use two weeks) swap the water/nutient mix (feed)
When you swap you want to use your ph balanced water first.
As your plants dry add your nutrient mix
It’s best to have a set amount of nutrients and once that is gone go back to ph balanced water again - Do Not Add or feed more nutrients than called for on the label. Remember it is your absolute maximum

Everyone develops their own routine of what works best for them and their plants. It’s a process you will find yourself adapting to and refining time and time again - it doesn’t mean someone else’s method is wrong; just that you have found what works for you, your environment and growing set up.

The suggestion to keep hitting the bookshelves that Nebula is putting together is a good one. She really has a great way of explaining and exploring cannabis growing options and has risen KISS to an art form 😁👍🏼✌️
 
I agree that weight is best … BUT I use 15 gallon bags! Ain’t no way I’m lifting those puppies! 😂
