How much bud do you grind at once?

How big is your mini vac jar, roughly? Like, does it hold an ounce or a quarter?

Glad to hear it doesn't dry out over a couple of weeks.
 
I usually do a few days' worth at a time too. I have been worried about it drying out and I'm hearing mixed things in this thread about whether or not it will dry out. It seems to come down to storage.
 
That sounds like a reasonable approach. Have you ever tried a Boveda pack in the tupperware dish (assuming there is space, but Boveda packs are pretty flat)? If you try it, would you report back to let us know if it prevents the drying out?
 
I love your jar and the little spoon! I was just thinking that I need a spoon for the ground stuff. It clumps a bit and doesn't pour smoothly out of the jar. I'll have to look around the house and see what I can find. I think I have a salt spoon around. It could fit INTO the jar for storage. Not sure if that's a good thing.

I really hate the inefficiency of the typical grinder and have been thinking about doing a larger amount at once. I quick internet search says not to do it because it will dry out and flavor will decrease. What I seem to be hearing is that it depends upon storage. Is that a cork to close your stash jar? Not too secure, but that's not big deal if you keep it in one spot. I'd be worried that I''d knock it over and spill it all. You are probably not as clumsy as I am!

Bullet seems like it would be super efficient! I'll keep that option in mind.
 
Very nice! Does it stay nice and fresh, even when you get to the last stash jar? Is that a week, month, or year's worth? Sometimes the walls are thick on those jars and they don't hold as much as it looks like.

If I had a case like that, I'd be tempted to fill the spot where the cork is with a few shorties. Nice rolling!
 
Yep just a cork - a cork soaked in years of resinous use; so it fits pretty tightly. I’ve knocked the jar over before without the cork popping out. But so far I’ve managed to not drop it on the floor just to test the seal 😉
 
I quit smoking joints years ago because I hated the smell of burning paper. The fact that I was totally maladroit at rolling had no effect on that decision!

I'll have to try some of the new papers. I seem to remember smoking joints was a good way to burn through a stash fast too and I need more room for new stock.
 
big fan of the mason grinder. i got the wide mouth version and use mainly for when i need to pre roll a lot for the weekend/vacation. otherwise i usually just grind as i need with a smaller Hammercraft grinder.
 
A day or two of supply ground in Air tight jars or container (no plastic, the resin heads will static cling to the sides). Boveda 55% inside to keep it perfect for smoking

+1 for RAW have, found this awesome pack about a year ago.

UndergroundFarmer, I have switched to vaping flower and not looked back. The flavour is so much cleaner! I can actually taste all of the things in the description, and not just smoke. Starry 3.0 is under $100 and has a replaceable battery. I like it better than the Pax3 that cost $$$. It can also be used for concentrates, so it's multi-functional!

I just happen to have a Pax 3! I use it mostly where stealth is the thing or with the more flavorful weed when taste is important. Otherwise, I like combustion for its effectiveness. I get higher faster.
 
It keeps it fresh. I cycle between then so I’m not smoking the strain all the time. Daily smoker here so I can’t give you a a definite time as to how long they stay fresh but I can say 3wks no problem.

I glued the cork in there so I can put 7 joints on one end, 7 on the other and they don’t get smashed. I only roll fatties, cigarette sized joints at least lol
