How many times to top?

So just a quick background -- I'm on my third grow now. Plants started in the basement and now moved outdoors and thriving. I topped once indoors not too long before moving. and again once outdoors for a couple weeks. doing very well after the second. Should I do again? I don't mind keeping the height down for security reasons, and if it increases the yield all the better. Also, I have some secondary growth from the bottom (not sure what it's called) that has done well and is not as tall as the main stalk. Can that be topped as well or just leave it be? Hope this all makes sense -- again still pretty new to all this.

Hello, not sure where you are. But flowering is starting where I am . So ther is no point in topping during transition. But just so you know, you can top unlimited times as long as you give her space to grow

Another method of keeping them short is to bend them over and tie them down (some remove branches underneath)
