How long can you save water mixed with nutrients.

OK, so Ive heard you should never save water that you have mixed nutrients into once you have used all your plants need. Ive also heard of some people using it if its within a few days and some that just use it till its gone regardless of long its been. I havent saved any yet but hate to throw out a gallon or so of mixed stuff for the plants. Whats the consensus out there?

If it is organic, I would only mix what I could use.

I use general hydroponics trio now, and I believe it is good for about a week. I have never gone more than 5 days, and only do that when they are small. Now I mix 10 gallons for 4, 5 gallon pots, and use it all each time. I have a lot of runoff.

I'v dump half gallons before, it's just a lot easier to mix a gallon for early veg, small pots and have the same feeling but just two days ago I mixed, procrastinating, shook the jugs, procrastinated some more, sampled some of my early trimmings, really procrastinated then and ultimately ended up going to sleep without feeding so 24 hours later I fed it to them cuz I wasn't going to dump 6 gallons mix at full veg entering flowering.
my first instinct when I started growing, 24 hours would let things dissolve better but most practices say mix and feed so it just what IV done.

Hey Dutchman I mix and use usually I dont have any left overs but I have left a really really weak solution for clone and seedling for about a week with no ill effects

Many growers pre-mix for up to a week or so. Add all your nutrients and supplements, then adjust your PH on the first day. Make sure you check and adjust PH again before feeding with the leftover. You will probably see a significant change in PH after it sits for a day or more.
