How long can plants go without lights during flowering

I have plants that are 5 weeks into flower out of 10 weeks to flower I have lost power due to outage the lights are set at 6:00 pm on to 6:00 am off they have not had light for 1 full 12 hrs and had 8 hrs the night before that should I power lights with generator on same schedule ( not positive my generator will handle this) put them outside for the day or wait longer for power all help very welcome

you can give them extended periods of darkness, while in flower (they will stay in 'flower mode')

If you can take them outside during the day - that is good, they will get sunlight and continue to ripen

but no more than 12 hours of light, ANY LIGHT (get them back into the tent) - or they will go back into 'vegetation mode'

good luck - keep us posted

Will it matter if I give them light during the day instead of at night when they are used to be in darkness
