How important is flushing?

I have a few grows so far in soil but I haven't investigated flushing every few weeks. How important is this step? What can I expect to happen when I flush every 3 weeks as recommended?
I am currently using Fox Farms trio (Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, Grow Big) and have recently tried adding a bloom booster. So far my grows have been OK but I'm sure there is always room for small tweaks and improvements.

I personally don't think regular flushing is necessary during the plant's life. Flushing is more of something to do if your plant is sick because of something in the plant soil, and you're trying to wash it out so you can start fresh. If you're worried about nutrient buildup in general, you can give your plant plain pH'ed water every few waterings, or every other watering, as opposed to flushing which can cause the plant to get droopy and grow slower for a few days. Generally the only time I "flush" is right before harvest, and I don't give above average amounts of water, I just stop giving nutrients in the water to help the plant use up everything in the soil and plant tissue.

Can you post some pictures of your plant in your setup? What is your temperature/environment? Have you been checking the pH? If you're most concerned with improving plant yields and your plants are already very green and healthy, than the type and more importantly wattage of your grow light is the most important factor, followed by plant training (and proper defoliation if the plant is very bushy in the flowering stage). If you're more concerned about bud quality, I have some bud quality tips and ideas here if you're interested :)

Like Nebula says I only flush when plants are having problems. if you are concerned about salt buildup (Ageoldorganics ) just came out with a product called MPG its supposed to keep salt buildups from happening I started to use it 2 waters ago so I will keep posting about it
