How I gained 6 inches and made it smell better

I normally do something similar. I normally work in metal so the tools i have are a little more robust and I needed a 1 3/8 hole, I drilled from one side after establishing the center and then swapped around to finish cutting. Problem was I had tasted a little of the last tumble weed I grew and still had the drill in drill mode instead of reversing it for a cleaner cut... oh well, old tote is now a flower pot and new tote is in place.

As a man with what my mother called a tool fetish I admire that hole saw I have a set that goes from 1" to 3" but they are for wood. I really should stop being such a cheap bastard and buy one for cutting the holes for my baskets to set in. It just hit me I own a set of Greenly punches that might make a cleaner hole that the spade bit I currently use for the holes I put in the sides of my totes.

I have a set to punch out holes for gauges in aluminum, well to be more accurate. I had a set of punches for dashes to place gauges in, how ever my son "borrowed" them for his race car and damn if I have seen them since . I fully expect him to be rolling out my box in the next couple of years!

Finished my seed starter, last of the rebuild before start of season. This does not require a water pump, I found a pump in the tote increases temps just a shade. Also does not plug at all.

All done, 24 hours later all the clay is soaked, Time to start some seeds.
