how common is bag seed?

I've seen lots of people on here mention finding bag seeds. I know what they are, but in the last 10 or so years since I started smoking on a regular basis I have never once found any seeds in any bud that I've bought. I'm not saying there weren't any there but I never found any. How common is it to find seeds in your buds in your area?

We grew bag seed. Pot came from Key West FL.......well that is where it was bought, not at all sure where it was grown. Street stuff that we bought in District of Columbia back in September, no seeds.

Not that common I've found about 20 over the last 2 years, but I clean my bud by hand. If you use a grinder etc, they wouldn't show.

I should quantify that the Key West pot was about 8 ounces. I think there were about 40 seeds. A female hermies or accidently got pollenated and there you go. I don't think street sellers really care if you get some seeds, even if it is advertised as sensimilla.

I've found quite a few in the ounces I get my grinder actually grinds them out intact so I collect them in a bag seed container for experiments that need a random sample.

Fairly common here if you are buying commercial (brick) weed. There is plenty around with no seeds if u want to pay the price

I've found a handful over the years. Not many. THe most recent has the best chance to do something

over the past couple pounds just 2 or 3 to be exact. Far easier to purchase lol

Five years buying from two people I found 3 seed ever. I was purchasing 23 ish ounces a year. So I'd say rare. I also returned the seeds every time.

I don't think what we got in K.W. was brick weed. cost us 2K and (I wasn't using it then) hubby said it was the strongest shit he'd had in a long time. Was kind of harsh though.

I've been thinking about those seemingly useless Nirvana freebies.

They would be perfect for me to practice my topping, mainlining, LST, defoliating, etc. Also hone my skills for identifying girls from boys. Bound to get a few females.....just don't know what strain, but my guess would be either white widow or skunk since they seem popular freebies with the other seed banks as well. Also, I haven't done this, but know you can.........put your 3 week old seedlings under 12/12 to force sex and then quickly revert back to veg cycle. And, since I will be switching to FF trio, it will give me a chance to get used to that.

Would be just like another bag seed grow. I'm feeling much better about those 10 seeds now.

OzBud...I just grow for myself and my wife. If I found seeds in my plants I'd be very disappointed in myself. My wife would be chasing me with a butcher knife and my friends would never let me forget. I have friends who grow and sell big time (legit, more or less). They'd all give you your money back if you found a single seed in their product. You'd never find one though.

Bag seed is just a generic term for any seed you find and don't know the origin of.

Pretty much how I use it. The 'freebie' seeds that I popped and planted along with the Aurora Indica girls are what I'd refer to as 'bagseed'. I more interested to see what grows because the AI's will meet my needs for the year. Sometimes ya gotta grow...

Is bag seed really looked down upon? I love finding them as a grower and cannabis connoisseur. Also I enjoy random things so maybe that is why.
