How close am I to harvest?

Hello,

This is my first grow and I am growing OG Death Star and Jack Herer in Southwestern Ontario.

I know I am close to harvesting as the fan leaves are starting to yellow. My concern is I’m not seeing a lot of white trichomes yet.

Of course it will depend on what kind of effect you're going for, but IMHO it looks like they both have some time left. Fan leaves do that when you're getting close in some strains, but it doesn't indicate maturity as well as the trichomes.

I have some serious cola envy going on right now, It's very difficult to see where your trichomes are at without a bit more magnification but I'm not seeing any amber in there. It's gonna be soon though. Exceptional grows!

It looks very close to being ready. But I’m worried about true first pic. There is a much more yellow leaf in there. That might be a sign of bud rot deep in the bud. Try to check out there base of that yellow leaf

This has me a little scared. I will look into further tomorrow when I get home from work. I looked up bud rot and they get plenty of air flow and other then rain not much moisture stays on the buds.
