How can I safely shift my plant?

Hi there,
I got marijuana seedlings from my friend and I planted it in a pot. It is being 2 months now. Last day when my friend visited me she said that her marijuana was 1 feet 5' when it was 2 months old. She is growing her marijuana in garden beds, I wonder if that’s the reason for fast growth. I also read in an article http://inthebackyard.ca/garden-beds-beneficial/ the garden bed can give more yields. Now, I am planning to shift my baby marijuana plant to a garden bed. But I am little afraid whether its root gets damaged. How can I shift the plant safely?

I assume you are growing outside...just cut the bottom of the pot out and set in garden bed buried about 6"....ezpz

Merry Christmas AnnaJoh. The conventional way to repot is to gently squeeze all around the sides of your pot to release the root mass. Place plant stem between first and second or second and third fingers. Turn pot over and the plant and root mass should fall right out of the pot. Soil should be moist but not wet when you do this. If the root mass starts to fall apart as you remove the pot, it's probably not time to repot yet or you have serious root problems. If the roots are wrapped all around the inside of the pot you waited too long. Handle gently and replant in your garden bed. The top of the soil mass from the pot should be planted level with the top of the dirt in your raised bed, if that makes sense. Water in after transplant. Fabric pots may have to be cut, clay or ceramic pots may have to be broken to get your plant out without damage. Your plant will be fine and will be much happier in your garden bed.
