how about us

You don’t need to tarp or force a 12/12 light cycle on you green house . Nature does this for you in the fall all on its own .

If your wanting to tarp to make your plants flower sooner it is a rather simple process . And you can easily just tarp the plants them selves . There is also the option of using a grow tent inside your green house as a dark room but this requires moving your plants in and out . This would be my recommendation if your looking to flower early . Only because it is the option with the least possibility of error . A good quality tent will be 100% light proof and will work great . You can tarp the plants by simply just loosely wrapping them in a tarp . This needs to be 100% wrapped so no light can get In . You do run the risk of over heating your plants tho and also the potential for extreme humidity under the tarp which could lead to issues later in flower . If tarping the plants I would do this later in the evening and allow it to go more into the am hour and as it is cooler during the morning in most areas . You also have the option of trapping the whole green house . Depending on the size of the green house this is pretty simple too . Just need to make sure you have no light leakage as light leaks during bloom can lead to your females harming and growing pollen sacks .

I personally would allow your plants to reap the benifits of the longer veg cycle that comes with growing under natural light . This will give you more time to train your plants and build a large canopy . Maximizing your cola count and increasing your final yield . So unless there is a reason for needing to force bloom I would just allow your ladies to grow and grow and grow until the sun tells them to bloom . I have seen close to 20foot plants grown during a full season. And yields as large as 15pounds on one plant . With the longer veg cycle I would advise you provide a large enough pot for your ladies to grow in . 10-15 gallon pots well allow you to grow large lush plants .

Your plants look nice and it is easy to see you have taken good care of them . I would suggest putting a tomatoe cage or something along those lines around them . This will serve 2 purposes . A) to give your ladies some support later in bloom as they bulk up with buds and B) to give you something to tie down to as you build your canopy out . There is a lot of good information on this site covering training and maximizing yield . But if you have trouble finding it I’m sure myself or another member can provide a link .

I hope that covered your question if I understood it correctly.

And I understand you don’t just have one question and this was just an example of the type of information your seeking . But we won’t know exactly what you want to know if you don’t ask. If your looking for someone for general conversation about growing and to bounce thoughts and ideas off , we are here for that too .

If I can help in any way feel free to ask and I hope I have assisted you to some degree .

Don't need to worry about flushing either, as long as it's just stuff like worm castings. If it's a bottled organic fertilizer, then follow manufacturers instructions. Ease off nitrogen sources for flowering, don't add any high N once they start, such as manure. Sugars can help to build a nice smell and flavor, molasses is a good cheap one, don't ad to much, follow Nebulas tutorial on it. Over do it, and you could get some black sooty mold on the lower buds, ask me how I know!

Also you don’t need to apologize. Most of us are high 24/7 and in turn happy and unphased by to much. There is a lot of very smart knowledgeable people on this forum that will help you and provide you great advice as long as you allow them to . Regardless If our chosen medium and environment at the end of the day cannabis is cannabis and understanding how and what is needed and the effect different environment have on it is more of an understanding of gardening and cannibis itself and less of an understanding of one controlled environment over another.

How do you know greenhouse?? I wanna hear this story and Since you seem ready to share I’m ready to listen 😬

I've been messing with them since I was a little kid, didn't start growing pot in one till I was a big kid, last spring, to be more presize.
Happy to share, but intend to mis spel, so heads up!!

Last summer I was getting a little happy with ye ol' Braer Rabit, glugging big dumps into the watering can, getting it on the lower leaves, even. Then I started growing this black moldy stuff on the lower buds, humidity was to high also, of course. Black sooty mold normally grows on the sugary honey dew which aphids excrete, from there butt. I figured it was growing from all the sugars. I now other growers that have had the same problem.

I still use molasses, it's great stuff, but I now do like D.a.a.s does, and ad it to the worm casting tea, that I always have on hand, I bubble it in a 100 gallon horse trough, with a big aquarium pump I got off amazon, plants LOVE the stuff, good during vedge, to.

Growers love,

Did not mean to ignore this.. it was hidden and not being familiar with the site i did not know it was there... so .. Thanks.. that is what i am talking about... LOL

Thanks to everybody for their comments,, advise and suggestions ..Our plants are growing in 15 gallon aerated grow pots with about 12 gallons of certified organic soil with a couple handfuls of Nature Living Soil super concentrate... ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BDKTT7Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) That is some great stuff to..... I have also added some 100% worm castings in the last week.. The green house is 8 x 6 defused plastic and the four plants are completely filling it.... I like the plan of letting nature take it's course and that was one major thing i was needing to know.. so grow on they shall.. We are not in any hurry at all..I think i will get a bit bigger fan for those coming days when our breezes will lay down.. with the grow pots and warmer days and the plants get larger we are finding that watering has gone from once every few days to every other day to now adding a half gallon each morning... I also plan on adding a couple more handfuls of the Natures Living Soil on top of soil this week..

Please keep adding thoughts,, dos and do not's ..and advice.. i am 68 and my brain does not function quite as well as i think it should in figuring this stuff out.. Maybe best advice was from my wife.. she said.. it is just a damned weed.. do not kill it and it will grow..:)

Something to ponder, I have friends that grow outdoor some in greenhouse, but most start to cover their plants to achieve 12/12 a few weeks ahead of mother nature. Then when the schedule line up they stop covering.

This starts flower a little sooner. Thus finishing a little sooner hopefully beating the risk of mold &rot.

Just another idea.

Your wife hit the nail on the head .
It will grow and produce it is a weed .
You as a grower just need to give it the building blocks to become the best weed it can be .

Something like that.
Keep in mind to, that plants can sometimes stretch 1/3rd to sometimes double when they first start to flower, so make sure you don't run out of ceiling height. More mature plants tend to stretch less, and strains vary. If you think you might run out of head room, that's when you will want to take a look at what the indoor growers do, as far as plant training, better yet, start reading up now, and have a plan ready to go!
There some methods that let the plant be a more natural shape, and that natural "Christmas Tree" shape, does do pretty good utilizing NATURAL light. Fiming, simple topping, and bending, can all help, without doing anything too elaborate, or super stressful to your plants, especially on a first grow.

My first grow, I saw this really cool thing called main lining, worked good, only all that cutting helped to give my plants bud rot in my humid environment, and wasn't really the best use of sunlight. Just pick what makes the most sense for what ya got goin, and do what strikes your fancy.

Check out some Jorge Cervantes on his youtube channel, as well. He can be hard to follow, smokes a little to much while recording and kinda gets lost in his thoughts, but takes ya some cool places, like farms of GIANT pot plants out in Cali, all organic in soil. Goes to some cool commercial greenhouse grows, to.

OK.. Ok.. and Ok.. thanks.. the 2 purple Jacks have been topped a few weeks ago and are doing well in a bushy state.. The Cindy99 I just did what I think is FIMed about 2 weeks or so ago and it Is getting the coolest looking crown on it.. The 9lb hammer my wife wanted to let grow to see what would happen and is with in inches of the structure top.. Going to have to decide what to do on it I think.. Ordered a better osculating fan today ..

If you apply tomatoe cages or something like them you can do a technique called super cropping . It looks like a bad idea before you do it but it really is super simple and your plants recover with out any issues . I have done this to all my plants and it lets me keep them at very low hight like I want them . Under 10 inches . I did this tech on a friend of mines plants a few weeks ago . They were 6 foot tall and got super cropped about the 3 foot mark . They recovered in a few days and look great today .

So super cropping if you don’t already know is basically bricking the branch at a 90° Angle . This will force all those lower nodes above that 90° angle to become there own branch . This will not only solve your hight issue but also increase the number of colas ( or as you call them , crowns) this will give you a bigger yield . Not only bigger yield , but a greater ratio of that yield will be top bud which is the best buds the plant produces. It can kinda be a hard thing to do the first time because you feel like your destroying your plants but once you do it one time and see the results you will be hooked on this training technique for all your future grows .
