How about sharing your recipe for super soil ?

Hi all,
Thought this might be fun and have some interest. I'm about ready to transplant some quantum kush babies to their final growing pots. I've got my own concoction for super soil , and admittedly it's got a bunch of hocus pocus and snake oil in it. But isn't that part of the fun ?
So here is my recipe. My ingredient list is set up not on weight but by percentage of volume.

Compost with a generous amount of worm poop in it. 30%
Dirt from my pasture (which isnt very fertile by the way) 20%
Horse poo 5%
Pigeon poo 5%
Bat poo. 5%
Coco coir 10%
Magic dirt , ( a commercial product ), 10%
Perlite 5%
Miracle grow , now don't you guys get nasty with me, 8%
Woodash 2%
Worms a bonus!

With this mix are usually don't feed until I move plants into the flowering stage . And then I use only organic supplements like fish emulsion and kelp extract. I'm not quite as savvy and sophisticated as you DWC folks, but soil can produce some nice buds to.

LOL, you won't get much love with the Miracle Gro from this forum. To say we despise it may be an understatement. I'm glad it works for you because it is food and it is cheap. The reason most people hate it in the cannabis community is because all the horror stories of people trying to grow weed like they do an ornamental. Throw it in some dirt and water it right?

How long do you let your mixture cook for? Do you put it in a bin or a barrel, or? I'd love to make my own soil someday. Probably subcool's recipe to start with...

I know fish and kelp bring the dank. Your buds must smell and taste amazing!

Glad to hear you've got a super soil that works for you. I made up a batch last spring using something close to subcool's recipe (added extra worm castings since I have bins of homemade castings). I cooked it for month or so, and used it on 2 autos ( along with fish emulsion and seaweed). Really super growth on both, and a very nice harvest. This year I'm using my own mixture of mostly compost and worm castings, trying to see if I can eliminate some of the extra organic supplements that I bought for last year's batch,. But also using GO Box supplements if plants need any boosts. Boogie brew tea is something I've started using also. Summer grows should be fun this year...I'm now in a legal state, though that didn't stop me before! 😊🌿

Yes I understand the issue with miracle grow. And it makes sense to me. You don't want to much nitrogen at the end of the grow. However plants do need some . And a very small percentage of miracle grow that I use mostly is just for texture of the final mix. I keep two plastic bins about 30 gallons each down in the basement with the prepared soil . I add worms to it and let them work their magic . I just leave it down there until it's all used up . So I guess minimum time is a couple of months since I made the latest batch this summer but maximum time could be a year or two depending on how much I use. I use this mix for both in and out door.

Well im no expert but they smell nice to me! As I mentioned below, my comment was meant to go here, about to months minimum cooking. All the poo ingredients come right off our place and are all aged, except the bat poo, which I sweep up off the shop floor. Initially I hated bats roosting in the upper eaves of the shop , dropping their poo all over the place. But now that I found a use for it , hee hee, I'm feeling a little bit better about them . I guess there's a place for everybody or at least a use for everybody .
