Hollow stem

Hi guys.. just a quick question .. what would cause hollow stems?.. broke a manifold stem and it was hollow.. your input is greatly appreciated

Calcium deficiency is usually the issue, but micro nutrients can play a role as well.

Ojh, I thought the same, When I did the guerilla grow years ago, all of my stems were hollow.... they all looked extreamly healthy too lol.

OMG! the aliens have invaded Your plants and installed water pipes! LOL, just kidding! The hollow center of the stems is normal, the path for water and nutriants.

I only started noticing this phenomenon on my last harvest; stems were hollow, weed turned out great. I want to see if I ever have any plants without hollow stems...

Lol sorry guys .. as im a new grower it just freaked me out to see that.. in my mind for some reason i had "trees" in mind (solid, thick) when ever i thought of stems and branches.. mind is now at ease .. thanks again 👍

I got a pipe from my dad for my birthday a couple years ago, he grew this big AK plant and used the base to make the bowl out of, couple inches across. Smoking out of it one time, and people just could not figure out what kind of wood it was made out of.
Should check out Jorge Cervantes tour of the Green Giants out in California. I watched that the other night for the first time, holy shit! those people grow some HUGE plants out there! Pretty cool video.

Ya, I know what you mean!
Guy kinda cracks me up to watch though, and have learned a couple things geared toward soil and outside/ sunlight growing.

Got inspired a little for a couple of plants I started back in January, and am hoping to naturally flower and harvest in September. If all goes well, I think I am going to use my " grow tent" frames like they did in the video, with some fence around them, and try to keep the middle open, with most of the buds on the outside. Either gonna grow a bunch of weed, or a bunch of Botrytis!

It's in a greenhouse, and I only have 8' of head room, but I will try to actually start a thread and post some pics, specially cause it looks halfway decent now !

Just want to say high to everyone I'm new to this site and I also in countered this for the second time growing in the past few years I have a rough idea of what it is but really don't care because for some reason my yields are much bigger not to say the hollow stem is the cause of my heavier yields..this was the Ortega I just recently cut down and yes I am a true o.g grower I just prefer the older strains.
