Locked and loaded. The harvest prep begins. If they’re good enough for the grouchyoldman they’re good enough for me.
Ckbrew to be quite honest, I probably would have had more harvest weight if I had not allowed so many branches to grow. 48 flowering branches are easier to spread out, will get fuller colas and still insure a pound per plant. Around 38 flowering branches with around 6 inches of total flower will be darn close to 16 0z’s.

Update 49: 19, November 2021
Wow! That was fast! Hard to believe it has already been 15 weeks since starting the grow. Yet, here we are down to the wire.
It is going to be a crazy few weeks at our house so updates and photos may not be coming in any kind of regular fashion. Other obligations will be cutting everything pretty close to harvest and drying time. I will post photos of Week 8 Day 1 as usual however, after that date it may be rather sporadic until I wrap this grow up.
Harvest and drying photos along with the final tally and dried and cured weight still to come. About 4 weeks for all of that to happen. Estimated timeline:
• Harvest date November 29
• Final weight and close of this Journal December 20

Just because it's Saturday... I don't know if any of you ever listened much to Simon & Garfunkel but this (in my opinion) is THE BEST rendition of Sound of Silence - since the original. It's rather oldish and even though about as far as I get into metal music these days is Nine Inch Nails and I'm not really a fan of being yelled at -> THIS version by Disturbed is just amazing.

When you talk about the final push, are you looking for little clusters of bleach white fuzzy hairs forming on the buds red hairs? I'm getting those along with yellow/purple leaves but not seeing much amber. I've been flushing since last monday night, was planning on starting darkness tomorrow. Chop Friday
Smoklahoma yep, that’s exactly it. The final push will also help to fatten up your buds. Generally you will have 5-15% amber within 7-10 days from the time you first started seeing those little white tufts on buds that once looked finished. That is my preference. You can make buds ripen faster by increasing dark time to 14+ hours. Not recommended if you want the best harvest weight - but it is an option.
