High temp in grow room

I’m new to growing I have a 4x4x8’ high gorilla grow tent,Black dog 2-1000 watt led light, 6” infinity exhaust fan 6” scrubber, 6” 350 Cfm blower and 2 -6” oscillating fans .
my problem is extremely high temperatures in my tent know mater how I adjust my air flows . My tent is in a spare room and the ambient temp is 74-76 degrees. I have no plants in the tent I was doing a test run on temperature and I’m hitting temps of 94 degrees. Exhaust is going into the attic. Temperature above the light is 85 below light is in mid 90’s Pleas help

Do you need 2000 watts of light for that space? That's awful warm for LEDs, but 2000 is a lotta wattage.

I agree with all.. that’s a lot of watt for that size of an area you could probably use only one and be fine

Hey Yankeedog, if im reading correctly, you are running 1 ( Black Dog 2 1000w) light? Is your intake vent at the bottom of tent and exhaust fan sucking from top of tent? That is a Really big(awesome!) light. looks like 6x6 flower coverage. can you open multiple vents at bottom of tent?

Pics of how you have set up your extraction/exhaust will help

OK, I checked the specs on that fixture. It uses 1kW of power from the wall and outputs 1600umole PPF. That makes its efficacy 1.6umole/watt. As a comparison, current tech diodes like lm301b's are at 2.5umole/watt. That means your fixture makes 56% less light for the same amount of power(heat) you inject into your grow environment.
Bottom line-You have a very powerful fixture(that generates a lot of heat) in an undersized space so it's going to get hot.

If your ambient temps are starting at 74-76, that much power in a 4x4 can heat up to 100 easily. I have the same issue during flower in my 4x4 tent. To solve the issue, I have the tent door all the way open when the lights are on and I close the tent when the lights are off. I'm able to keep temperatures below 83 with the tent unzipped. This is the only solution I've found that works. Not ideal, but it works. Best of luck to you. I bet you will get some beautiful buds with that much light!
