URGENT NOTICE: Recall of Medical Marijuana Products – Empire Strains, LLC and KushCandy 420, LLC – Batch 153, Lot A

The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) is requesting a recall of certain products processed by Empire Strains, LLC and KushCandy 420, LLC, medical marijuana processors in the Oklahoma County area.

The products being recalled are vape cartridges labeled as Empire Strains or Ju·Ju that show Batch Number 153, Lot A on the labeling. Medical marijuana products labeled as Empire Strains or Ju·Ju that show Batch 153, Lot A have failed required testing and may not be safe for consumers.

Patients or caregivers who have affected medical marijuana products in their possession should contact Empire Strains, LLC, KushCandy 420, LLC, or the dispensary they purchased the above products from for information on their recall procedures.

I wish they would tell us what it failed for! This is for those that may not stay on top of their email

Ick. Another reason to grow yer own. I don't know if they even bother with recalls in WA.
They should; I've gotten some crap that needed recalling. Before I bought it, lol.

I did 1x bought a sub lingual bottle of something with the dropper thing. Tried it 2x threw it away made me almost gag. All i told the budtender was i wanted something to help relax me without smoking, recommended this little bottle of tincture worst taste lasted in mouth for hrs.

Most states with legal systems have seen a few of these. Vape carts were banned for 6 months in OR and WA while the nation tried to figure out the sickness people were getting. Turned out to be cheap blackmarket carts that were cut with a thickening agent. I'm glad for the testing at state levels, although many states, WA included leave more to be desired. It's easy to cheat the testing system, I've had to do it for a large commercial grow. I quit that place shortly after.

Stupid they don't tell you what it failed for, was it a health concern, like pesticides? Or was it the they got the dosage wrong and your 10mg edible was really a 15mg edible. Thats happened before.

Couldn’t agree more about them needing to say why and give more info. We recently had a food recall that came up on the local news, x? million of something that you should return or discard immediately and at the very end of the story they toss in that the recall was because it might have an undisclosed milk product in it. They should have led with, Hey if you have a milk allergy!

I haven't heard of anything hazardous making it through the rigorous testing here in OR. They test for mold & insects (& droppings) besides THC & CBD.
Like Budgal said though- the TASTE of alotta concentrates is mighty harsh!

OR is doing things right. There have been a few recalls, again a specific brand related to the vape cart issue and I remember an edible as well for failing pesticide testing. But, I think the consumer not the manufacturer should be the main benefactor of any testing system.

WA is definitely on top of the concentrate game, but that OR bud is the best.

Well I cant speak for recalls but I have bought bud at my dispensary before that either wasn't flushed right or something I have smoked weed form there that burns the back of my throat gives me headaches sometimes tastes and or smells moldy (friends have claimed oh that's just the kush taste) No it's not I have smoked it long enough form all over to know when there is something wrong. And @ $25 1/8 on sale days no thanks.
