They don't look herm to me and I'm currently growing possible herms. You could also check my link and see what I'm dealing with. I've posted other pics on the same topic as well. I agree with it being calyx. Calyx the sepals of a flower, typically forming a whorl that encloses the petals and forms a protective layer around a flower in bud.
It doesn't necessarily mean anything other than your plant is ripening. That is where a seed would develop but swelling will happen even if your plant hasn't been pollenated.
