Ok been getting everything together for a dwc for weeks now. Decided to go with unknown seeds so I have 10 baskets in my 30 gal tote. I hope for 4 females and I'm gonna make my own female seed so hopefully after this grow I won't have to start 10 seeds. Used rapid rooters to start seeds. Light is a 400w hps/MH tent is 36x36x78 and a 6" inline fan. 2 water pumps, 2 air pumps with 4 air stones. General Hydroponics trio.

Very nice! Are you going to separate them into individual tubs once you've identified all the female plants?
 
Yea I can't wait to see them sprout, worked all afternoon setting it up, wore out and ready to enjoy some herb.
Nebula I'm only gonna remove males and keep 4 females together in the 30 gal tote. I've tore the gwe site apart, so much good info there. Do u think 4 plants is too much for the tote and space?
 
Could not get my ph meter calibrated, it's a bottom line Dr Meter and the numbers will not settle in no matter how many times I try. I used the kit that came.with the ph up/dn
 
You may want to replace that ph pen. I think the accuracy of the drip color kit is not fine enough. I've found the color looks different under different light.

Is that a 3x3? I think 4 ladies should fit ok with some LST.

Great looking setup! Sucks you didn't get some seeds ordered. Genetics is half the battle... hope you hit the jackpot with your bag seed!
 
Yea Royal Nugs it's a 3x3. I tried again the other day to order seed, caller bank first to allow overseas and they said there was no indication that anyone had tried to bill my card, even after pmt was denied to 4 different seed banks so I gave up.
 
I still think you should try bitcoin. Once you figure it out, you'll be happy.

Anyway, good luck with the grow. I have some seeds about to break ground, so we should be on the same schedule. You will probably grow right by me with the dwc! Happy growing!
 
Four plants in a single tote is quite a lot. One of the problems with having many plants in a single container is the roots can choke each other out, so you may end up with a few big plants, and then a few stunted ones on the same lid. This can make it difficult to even out your canopy. The other issue is if you end up with more than 4 female plants, or if the 4 happen to be right next to each other or something like that. It's difficult when they're all so closely attached to each other, especially when they get big.

That tent and your grow light can definitely handle 4 plants. I'm just not sure you want to grow all four in the same container all the way to harvest. It would definitely be a great place to start a bunch of plants! My one last factor to consider is that as the plants get bigger, they will also get much heavier. I'm not certain a single lid is strong enough to accommodate four plants.

That being said, I don't want to be too discouraging because I've seen growers accomplish far crazier things! No matter how you end up growing, we'd all love to see how it works out!
 
Good luck Joker on your new endeavor! I have two 12 gallon totes with six 3 3/4 inch net pots each (similar to an old 'Bubbleponics' set up). I use six gallons of water in each reservoir with two 4 inch air stones. I would strongly recommend completely changing out the water every week! My grow space does not have a handy source of water, so I haul in and out twelve gallons every week, but an extra four gallons in the middle of the week to top off the reservoirs. I also use ice bottles (changed out as needed) to keep the reservoir temperature below 70 degrees F.. Ms. NebulaHaze is correct about the roots "chocking out' their neighbors. During my last grow, I had four female plants grow (out of a total of 12 sprouts) and only one plant grew dominant in each reservoir. With that said, I netted just over seven ounces of bud and nearly ten ounces of trim. This was with only 220 watts of CFLs over each planter!
If you have never grown hydroponically before, I think that you will be pleased with the results.
