Hemp farm, full scale

Hello everyone,

Ok. I’m going to open a hemp farm in NM and I’ve never operated at anything like this scale! I’m super excited but I will need to draft a business plan and a grow plan before I try to go after funding for this.

That’s where you come in! I need help crafting a few possible business plans to present to my local SBA!

So I would like to grow in greenhouses in RDWC hydro. However I’m not sure what materials to use. I’m planning on grabbing an acre and building this all from scratch. Their aren’t any bad ideas, I only ask for links to reference info from; in addition to your insights.
 
So a few practical ideas, solar panels to help power the whole thing easier.

I estimate 500 plant limit if there is one.
 
That's pretty much just a generator with a battery that can power 350 watts for an hour then would need to be recharged through the solar panel for about 10 hours or the generator which when running generally cost about a dollar per kilowatt vs 10-20 cents from the power company. It would be good for an emergency backup system.
 
Let me clarify, I need help designing a large greenhouse using RDWC basins that will prolly hold about 80- 100 plants per house at a time at the smallest
 
Just a quick cost of a solar panel setup for 7,000 watts is about $10,000, you might have to double that for installation. and for off-grid with batteries, you may have to double it again.

There are a few of us on the forum including myself that have small solar arrays that may be able to shed more light on your project but you would have to know the specific power requirements before anything can be recommended.
 
Yeh for a small brow op such as mine it would need a heck of a lot of those add on pods to operate for any length of time, since power is never usually off for more than a couple of hours at a time, this is why I was looking at the system.
 
You mention going through the SBA, have you already gone in for an initial consultation? they have more workbooks then you could shake a stick at. Yes, you will need to get some fairly firm numbers to get you up and running but more so they will need to see that business plan.

Back when I went for an SBA loan for an electronic repair shop they turned me down because of my race and had to self-finance. So best to get a meeting sooner than later, all my guy said was that I might get the loan if I put the business in my wife's name.
 
I’ve already met them once before for a different business idea and they shot me down because of DEAs definition of marihuana
 
Campesino. Just thinking on subjects as you point out, makes me wonder that ecological and sustainable processes being planned for and being put into place such as water filtration via natural rainfall and treatment to remediation might help in an application process, but the expense of outlay is what puts me off where I am, for the time being so I’m sure furry has a lot to deal with. I’ll read and shut up now lol thanks.
