I was going to kick in with a jet powered unicycle. But then I got to thinking about DM's legs going balls-out on the pedals looking like a Wilie E. Coyote skit and couldn't stop laughing.

I grew up in my dads machine shop worked as a Prototype Machines then Toolmaker while I was working I went back to school to become a manufacturing engineer. When I retire in 3 years I hope to start a small 1 person shop, I am always the most comfortable cranking handles

Allen pro i stocked all the machines, swapped out runs of bars for new parts, did inventory and loaded and unloaded the semis. I was the only guy in the back but I loved it it was a free gym membership lol
 
I worked construction for 40 years, had a ladder blow over and down I went, didn't get hurt, but it made me decide to get out of the field, now I work at a grocery store,load and unload trucks and break it all down for the kids to work, eventually I'll have to have surgery on my spine and I won't be able to work
 
Right out of high school I took a job building log cabins around the country, it was fun until we took a break building a cabin in northern Illinois in Feb. After that my dads shop looked pretty good to me
 
From a kit or from scratch? Back in the late 70's my father and I built a Log Cabin in Ky. It was a kit from Real Log Homes and they considered laying the logs in the Desert outside of Vegas was as good a kiln drying. It was not
