I agree with BB, bag seed is the way to go for a nube, a lot of them. Plant many seeds and concentrate on learning the process instead of on the end result. My first year growing I dropped 30 bag seed beans with out having a clue. That will make you learn fast. Once you lean the process, the end result will follow.
 
At the least they will learn the way more seeds are made. Selected seeds from bag for years. Got fairly good at it too
 
Pro'ly some y'all ain't bought no dispensary dope for a while. Finding bagseed these days is not as it was in the days of 'lids' and 'fingers.'
But, yeah. Start with bagseed. Maybe a buddy has something? If a dispensary is available, the cheap stuff has more chance for seeds. And if getting seeds is an issue where you are, look into cloning and making your own seeds from your first grow.
 
Never got a seed from a dispensary. Dope bags here are full of seeds. DA's don't know what a Hermie is though.
 
Random Seeds is the way to go. Keep an eye out for seeds in buds, and save them.

My personal experience has been growing indoors ONLY with Bagseed. It is the best way to learn to be honest, to test your setup, temps, RH, nutes, Training, PH etc etc etc
It's fun and you don't feel guilty if they don't come out as you expected. Depending on your available space. just pop and germinate a bunch of them. Let them grow and as soon as you switch to 12/12 ( in case of the photoperiods ) you'll see gender in a few days or weeks.

If you smoke weed, I ASSURE you that you will encounter seeds. Be patient. if not.. invest in some cheap photoperiods, wouldn't recommend autos as they are a bit more finicky ( could be wrong here too, haven't planted autos yet, and I'm talking only from common knowledge and the interwebs )

Problem is no one sells bud around here everyone's buying dispensary crap thats why I gotta grow some because the dispensary stuff doesn't help my back

That's a conundrum of legalization. Legalization made weed inaccessible to some by putting their connects out of business. People in my neighborhood who grow used to sell ounces for $150. Since dispensaries opened, the people who grew for profit have stopped.
What Rwise said. Stick around. Participate. There are folks who give away seeds. But not without credibility.
Have you ever grown anything? Have you done any research on growing weed or hoping for the best? Indoor or outdoor?

Consider some folk a bit bias 'bout their dope.
It ain't only just about how 'good' the dope is. I mean, it's important, and all. Paying for dope kind of takes away from the thrill of having a big bag of real fine nugs. Having a bag of larf makes me all warm inside because I grew it. It's my larf. It's paid for. However larfty it is, I grew it and it's going to get me lit. Not being able to pay for food because I just dropped the week's sandwich money on a bag of sugary nugs is often a real downer, no matter how lit I get.
Point is, there are no female leprechauns. Leprechick. That's what they would be called.​
 
I’ll admit, it’s a different world since the last time I bought some dope lol dispensaries didn’t exist back then, I got it off one of my buddies or my barber and there were no names. You had brick weed, commercial or good shit they called ‘kind bud’ if you were lucky 😂
 
Brick weed, some good some bad but it all went up in smoke. more choke than smoke. Grew dope from them bags too.
 
Four finger $20 oz of commercial (yuck), and 20% of that weed was seed and stem. Never grew back then. It would be wild to grow some of those seeds with today's lights and hydro.
 
Yes I've grown two runs to harvest of seeds from a friend years ago. My first run i didn't take pictures my second run was not a huge yield and not as potent cause I planted too late and they didn't finish. Currently running a few autos but would rather run the last few photo seeds I got. Problem is I can't afford to get stuff from the dispensary and I just spent $80 on seeds to get me enough bud so I don't have to buy any. Than once i do another run or two of autos ill have enough money saved from not buying smoke to upgrade my setup and finally order some good seeds. I just need some help getting started again and than I can give back to others that need help once I learn how to do seed runs.
 
I posted all the pictures I found on my old phone. And also posted pictures of my current grow on my page. Thanks for the input by the way😁
 
I grew some pretty good smoke from seeds out of brick weed but I also grew some dirt weed, You never knew what you were going to get back then. I’m definitely happy that has changed
