Hello all, I'm nearing the end of flowering but having issues with heat I have a Solis Tech 600 watt HPS MH dimmable digital ballast with 660 boost option pause. Should I dial down the wattage to 400 with hps or metal halide or keep running the HPS 660 till the end I'm pushing around 90° maybe 91 in soil with various types of plants. Thanks
 
Hi Smoke, I don't know enough about lights to suggest anything other than to consider what natural conditions are for a Cannabis plant in the Fall; it's receiving less light every day and the temperatures are getting cooler. Whatever you can do to mimic those conditions would be good! You don't want high temps evaporating all your wonderful terpenes!!!! :smile:
 
Do you have exhaust fans ,is your input air cooler, than inside the tent and does it match your exhaust ,if you run a 6 inch exhaust fan you should have a 6 inch inlet (In My experience), what is your humidity
 
I have a 4 inch exhaust and my intake is two doors opened when the lights are on with a large square fan blowing room air in. I have to rework some things after this crop. I'm just trying to mitigate the damage in the last few weeks of this crop. RH is between 36 and 46.
 
if you lower the light wattage then you will reducing your yield bloom is the time you need the most light intensity, also where is your tent room located , I have a green house and Monday it was 100 on the monitor the leaf temp was around 76 this is do to moving a lot of air though it. any chance of putting an air conditioner in I used one in my bloom room I ran the exhaust out though the wall, still it was a major PITA so this year I solved that issue ,I shut down in June lol
