ok I started a little project as seeds are pricey and I wanted to test my science skills. I took 4 auto plants Pineapple Express, white widow, purple Ryder and white yoda. I sprayed one stem I marked with a tag. Some are showing more then others as far as male sacs goes. My end goal is to get pollen outa each strain, and I’ve planted seeds from each strain again and planned on pollinating the newer plant.
A few questions;
1 if the plants self pollinate, will the autos have time to produce viable seeds. 2nd part would letting the plant grow out a week or 2 longer allow for better viability.
2 If I don’t want plants to self pollinate, what would be my best options, keeping a very close eye on sacs for mature ones getting ready to pop is easiest way, next once the pollen sacs mature , remove it from plant as if I’m taking a clone and separate it into another tent. Till the first one pops and remove and manually remove pollen to store for later plants.
3 I really like autos for adding 1-3 into my tent during any period of my photo grows for the fast growth and to get a little bit very quickly.
I hope to get enough seeds to give some to my dad for mostly his amusement and ease of growing. For the questionâ€why autosâ€
