Help bugs eating my plants. Need advice on organic solutions please.

Can't quite tell from the photos. What sort of area are you in? I see you are outside, but are you in a forest, field, backyard... Sometimes it can be impossible to keep insects off a plant if the plant is surrounded by other plants that are attracting insects.
 
First that organic mulch attracts pests (get rid of it), whats under it? Second identify the pest.
Grasshoppers, good luck, get chickens or guineas to eat them and give you eggs. Also good bait for fishing.
Praying mantis, ladybugs etc. to control many other pests.
 
Try using lost Coast plant therapy it's made with peppermint oil,bugs don't like it and it's organic, Google it, it's good stuff
 
If you going to use a foliar spray test on a couple of leaves first and if you can apply it at dusk just before it gets dark so as less chance of damaging leaves.
 
Used sugar cane mulch once, worst idea ever, could not get rid of the ants and then got bad scale infestations.
 
I see in one of the picture there it is definitely a grasshopper, so that's probably making at least some of the damage, if not all of it.

I don't grow outdoor, but I asked my dad who is an outdoor grower. He said that the secret to getting rid of grasshoppers is to keep the grass mowed short (they live in the grass and also eat it) and to use "Sevin" insect spray. He said NEVER get Sevin on buds, but you can use it on vegetative plants. And he also said to make sure to let it dry before letting any pets near it. He said when he used it he found dead grasshoppers all over the place. It seems like strong stuff.
 
i've used the sevin spray on other plants and it works like a charm. i don't recommend smoking it or getting it on or in you
 
Ok so I did end up using the Sevin spray. Used the first time today. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the recommendation
