help plz

I was just given a plant that has been growing outside in a pot. it has started budding. i have a couple questions. ive brought it inside and want to keep it going but am not sure what i need to do that. this plant was just sprung on me and ive never really grown before. so any advice and info would be greatly appreciated. its getting cold quickly where i live so i brought it in and i have it in a closet with just a yellow bulb on it and ive been leaving it on for 12 hours. i dont have a whole lot of money for this new little project either. id like to address the lighting for sure tho, and wondering about fertalizing during the flowering phase and how long it usually takes to complete the budding process
 
First thing is the light. At the very least you need a cfl bulb I think soft white or 2700k , you said you have a yellow bulb, what kind of bulb? Then you need to maintain the ph in the soil. and then you have to feed it.there is no doubt you will need a few items, but it will be worth it.

Yes, you need to get some decent light on it soon. CFLS are quick and easy to use, I would be using several fixtures surrounding the plant, 40 to 60 watts soft whites, 4 or more bulbs (depending on size of plant). Not much heat with CFLs...I keep mine up to an inch away. GWE has so much great info on the other basics. Hope you can get your baby to thrive in its new home! 🌻
 
the light i have is some kind of "sun" light, it was marketed to be used in indoor gardening i cant remember exactly i got it so long ago. i grabbed it for my house plants, but its just one of those regular spiraly type bulbs. i have this "starter kit" of plant food products it says to combine B.C. boost 3tsp , B.C. bloom 3tsp, awesome blossoms 1/2tsp, thrive alive b-1 red 1/2tsp magical 1/4tsp and sugar daddy 21/2tsp into 4 gallons of water. use the formula in the sequence of feed, water, water throughout the flowering cycle. has anyone heard of these or tried them and how often shud i be watering? so far ive just been giviing it a good drink every other day but suspect i will need to water more often with it indoors? not`sure tho just a guess
 
Yep, need more light especially during flower. Water when top inch or so of soil is dry. Don't need to add much nitrogen during flower. Depending on your situation you will need to address smell soon. Good luck!

So you have the technaflora nutrients? Seems like a decent nutrient product. You should be good to go in that regard.

Your biggest problem I see is light. Cannabis is a VERY light loving plant. Light is probably the single most important part of a healthy, vibrant cannabis plant. Follow the directions of your nutrient company but I'd recommend starting at 1/4 to 1/2 strength to see how the plant responds.

How frequently you water depends on the size of the plant, the media type (and amount), humidity, temperature, etc. There's far too many variables to factor in. In my experience, if you lift a dry pot and get an idea of how heavy it is. You can then get an idea of what it feels like when it's dry. It's not an exact science but it works once you get the idea....

Read Nebula's beginner guide, it should help immensely.
 
Why not 100 watt cfl's

I ask cause I just bought some last night for an extra veg area

Green, I hadn't thought of that, thanks. I have enjoyed the 60 watt size. I use a splitter for each fixture, and that has allowed me to really surround the plant with light when I have all 8 lights on. Great yield, so I figured I was doing something right after 3 plants like this. 😊
