Hello all, I have a potted outside grow (monster eva) that has holes on some leaves. Today I found a grouping of small eggs/lavae on one of the leaves. Are these two things related? If so what critter should I be looking for? Thanks for the help.
I'm pretty sure they're butterfly eggs. Moths will usually lay a single egg on various leaves whereas butterflies do clusters like you have. No matter which it is you'll get caterpillars and that's no bueno. I recently tried BT spray after reading about it on the GWE Newsletter. Checked today (3 days after spray) and they seem to be abandoning ship. Normally the caterpillars are the same color green as the plants but I noticed today they are turning a shade of brown.
