Y'know, I was hemming and hawing about pronouning my 'nurses' comment. Twenty five years ago, it wouldn't have been an issue. God how I loved twenty five years ago.
I've had nurses of both defined pronouns, male and female. I was rebuffed by a nurse after saying, 'Yes, ma'am.' Nurse practitioners, too. Whatever those are. As long as they identify themselves as 'nurse' I'm good.
My 'Well hellooooooo nurses!' comment came directly from The Animaniacs. I am attaching a lengthy video I have not watched but for a few snippets to see if works. Yeah. Hopefully, the following lengthy video will remove any variation of male sexism against females that may have been construed by my comment.
I would also like to add that I am not of the current generation. In my generation, there was no hashtagging people. No unflattering meme. No murder-by-social-media. We solved our issues through egging and toilet papering. So, if I am wrong in paying homage to hot, born-female flight attendants, secretaries, and nurses with enhanced female shapes and variable intelligence, please egg my apartment.
I am not a sexist. I am a stereotypeist.
