Help for 2 very different symptoms- 1 common cause?

I have a couple of re-occurring problems with the most recent grow.

I posted pics of leaves which are unhealthy, it's contained to 2 plants from same seed source and seems to be fine with the new growth.
I also have pics of the second problem of seeds breaking to the surface to only stall out and not develop (3rd try- seed sits on top of dirt and dies).
Can thrips cause both of these issues ?
I have seen larvae for the first time on the new seeds soil.

if you create a dome out of plastic, they will have enough humidity to be able to break the seed coat easier.

Thrips, gnats, aphids all could have killed your seedlings.

Your soil looks far too wet for seedlings to grow properly.

I prefer rapid rooters for germinating. Warm, moist, and no humidity domes.

I agree with RoyalNugs. Your soil looks drenched. You will hear differing opinions on humidity domes. Some swear by it, just as many will say do not use. I germinated 21 seeds without a dome.

Thank you for your responses:

Yeah on the seeds being too wet- a change of seasons and I haven't changed my ways !
I'm in the camp where you mist/dome clones- but do NOT spray or dome seeds.

Any thoughts on the first few sets of leaves from pic #1 & #2?

What's your ph...are you giving them nutes at all yet..if so how much...what else are you giving them....

Your seed issue....Your medium is way too wet like nugs said...you wouldn't force feed your baby a moose glass of water...so don't do it to your seeds or seedlings.

What is you plan on the larvae you think you saw...might want to get some D. E.......

Water pH stays around 6.2- amended soil (enough to bring from seed to flower), but these were fed as needed- roots organics kelp,bird guano,Ca/mg/fe foundation- also protekt and Dyna gro foliage pro- as needed, through out this grow, all at about 1/4 strength to start then increased to 1/2 strength based off this ->>> https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/...er-seen.73074/

Already was using NEEM/DE- stopped NEEM:
used spinosad spray and BTi soil drench within the last 24 hours. Will redust DE tomorrow.

Cleaned all grow spaces, as you would between grows- plus fumigated the rooms.
Reduced house plant population and may toss more tomorrow.
