hey Gator, i got a question. what is the cylinder with the ducting attached ?

Carbon filter,I put it on the floor thinking it would help pull the heat from the light down to the floor,I have it on a timer so that it runs 15 minutes every hour and then 15 minutes every two hours when the light is off,I keep a hydrometer on the lid and I'm getting 80° temps at plant level

hey GATOR just a thought, a better type of fan for that app. is called a fan in a can. i used to use them in the hvac field for venting mech. rooms where fumes would sink to the floor

You where on the right track but made a some simple mistakes, to begin with you want to use a reservoir for the nutrient solution, that tank would be placed outside the grow tent where it can stay darker and cooler, this is also where your aeration will be accomplished. The primary reason for having a reservoir is to prevent disturbing the roots of the plants, with a reservoir you will do all of your maintenance (PH testing and balance, adding chemicals and water) within that tank only, you will not and should not be disturbing your plants roots in the grow tanks.
Plants don't appreciate having their roots disturbed.
Inside the tent you want your grow pots to be at the same height as the reservoir you will pump the nutrients to the upper part of your grow tank(s) you can use either inexpensive fountain pumps, one per grow pot submerged in the reservoir, or a single circulation pump and PVC ball valves to control the flow rate per grow pot.

Drainage of the grow pots to the reservoir will be provided at the bottom of the grow tanks and the reservoir, that way the level of the nutrient solution in the reservoir will always be the same as it is in the grow pots, again eliminating the need to disturb the plants and their roots.
The system is simple pump(s) feed the grow pots and gravity allows the nutrient solution in the pots to flow back to the reservoir to be cooled, aerated and recirculated back to the grow tanks.
This design also works really well with CO2 injection as the aeration (oxygen injection into the nutrient solution) is outside of the tent preventing dilution of the CO2 shower within the tent.

Here we are at week 7 of flower, she's not very big, but damn she's frosty, I'll probably just make some hash out of her, it's been a fun journey and a great learning experience, and I do plan on trying hydro again, but I need to figure out how to make the grow space warmer
