HELP - Building a tiny grow box

Agreed! And you can even use tubes as side lighting to really light up those lowers when she is at her max size.

I understand where you are coming from, but where would he possibly go that has power plant on hand daily for his purchases? He was quite specific about this strain being medically what he needed.
Also, I always suggest first time growers start off small. Just gain some experience first. Then move up to something substantial when you learn a thing or two about the process. Just my 2 cents.

I see what you're saying - I rarely smoke though its just for occasional use. Besides where I'm from you get low quality bud FULL OF SEEDS.

Toker1 I get the start off small thing but looking back at the money sitting in boxes in my storage, I kinda wish I would of started off abit bigger and I could still be using the not so small equipment now..but we're all different.

What are your thoughts on these. Fit a regular socket. Can always add more, cooling fan inside. I'm looking at getting maybe 8 or 10 to cover the corners and edges of my tent. They were recommended to me by someone who has grown for years. They have a 150 watt option as well. The 300 is perfect for 1 plant.

Hey Jordann,

First of all thank you for taking out the time to suggest these. I was just thinking that wouldnt 300 Watts be over kill for a 1 foot x 1 foot area?

Also wouldnt there need to be a gap of 1 foot between the light and plants? Others seem to suggest that with CFLs plants can be like two inches away and theres no damage.

What do you think?

Yeah, we all have different experiences. I saw a guy running 10 lights, thousands of dollars in just electricity used. The guy had his lights set up wayyy to far above his canopy. Ended up with only a few Ozs because he got some really bad advice. Unless you own a time machine, that’s a loss he will never gain back. Each is their own.

I think they draw 50 to 75 actual watts but yea 8 to 12 inch away. I started with cfls. And after a month I had 30some bulbs in there with 2 way splitters tied into the socket with 2 way splitters into them. That was in a 2x2 6 foot tall closet I built CFLs you can't have too many. Can always add more as you go..now I have like 40 CFLs in a box in the back room. Just used for starting seeds. They do the job but I always got light airy buds. Got me high though.

It’s it’s a cfl you might be able to fit it. I can say for sure that a cfl will not penetrate 3 foot below its fixture. Just an idea to help out that lower growth. I have never grown anything, besides a mother plant for clones, in a size that small before. Maybe someone else with micro grow experience can chime in on that one.
