Heat

Hi I am a newbie at growing and unfortunately the attic was the only place I could get away with doing one for the next few days it’s going to be over thirty degrees where I live so the attic will get really hot to hot for the plants I think they are five weeks old does anyone have any suggestions ? I was thinking of bringing them down and putting them in my kitchen whilst the heats really strong so they can get some air and hopefully not over heat I do have a cheap air con unit up there but do t think it’s strong enough to contend with this heat does anyone have any ideas ? Thanks

What kind of relative humidity do you have where you live? If it's under 50% you could try using an evaporative cooler. These use water to cool the air but they add humidity and often add it fast (which is bad for flowering phase due to the threat of bud rot). So if you have really low humidity (like I do in western Colorado) a swamp cooler is a viable option. Otherwise, you will need to use an AC unit of some kind. My advice would be a portable AC unit since you can place it basically anywhere. Other than that, your idea of moving them to your kitchen during the heat waves might be your best bet. Happy growing!
