Greetings,

This is my 1st grow after my failed attempt in a space bucket, wondering if anyone can provide professional opinion on how these plants are doing?

this is 7th day flower for them and their 35th day overall since seed in soil. (i am growing small because this closet is small 60cm x 40cm x 100cm)

I cant seem to understand why the flower leafs turned yellow and died. or why do i have brown in middle on very few leafs. I water with PH around 6.5 temp and humidify between 25C-26.5C and 49%-56% growing in peat moss + local normal soil + perlites.

Also LED using spiderfarmer SF1000 (100wat) currently at 40% after i noticed plants have some leafs with yellow tips and tacoing leafs. before was at 50%. PPDF is very low i understand but i need to maintain my temperature.

I think they have slow growth i did some defoliation to get light to nodes before flipping to flower. I am noticing that peat moss hold on to water for a very long time i might have overwatered them since last watering i noticed plants got droopy after.

any advise, opinion, or observation would be very appreciated.

You have a workable setup there in my opinion. Small but workable. 4 plants under the Sf100 is a bit optimistic but if you keep in that space it should work alright. A small 6” clip fan or something to move air around in the closet is important to have on at all times. So add that if you can and if you don’t have.
They are photos, right ? Not autos

In the future don’t take off leaves if the plant is showing stress, and don’t flip if they are not happy. Your small space will make that harder but the benefit of photos is you can take the time you need to get them healthy. As soon as you flip to flower any problems with be exasperated as the plants get more sensitive.

I know you are limited in what you can get but it’s difficult to know if your soil has what it needs. To be honest it probably doesn’t. If you can get any kind of liquid fertilizer ideally one for tomatoes or vegetables or even a general purpose one, if you can’t get a know cannabis one you should. Something with an NPK like 3-1-4 or 3-1-3 or even higher numbers in the same ratio and just use less. The strength mentioned could be applied at the label amount stronger you should experiment by starting at 1/2 or 1/4

After light, water is the most important and hardest thing to get right. Personally I think this is the cause of most peoples problems. The amount of water is directly tied to the amount of nutrition the plant can get from the soil. Too much is a problem and too little is a problem and it will show in the plant in many different but similar symptoms so it’s really hard to know as a beginner which problem you have.

If you can get and afford a moisture sensor it could really help these are the two you should choose from, most others are not very reliable. These two have many users that can help share information. Using one can help you learn what is a good moisture level

I don’t use this one but many do it reads in %. Read the details so you get the right kit as the sensor alone is useless.

I use this one but it’s pretty expensive it reads in mbar which is water pressure in the soil and a scientific measurement, also very popular and helpful

Other more simple methods work like just water very slowly until you see just a drop of run off from your container, this is “field capacity” of the soil. Weigh the pot and make note of reading for you records then wait 2-4 days I’d guess, and check again, at 30 or 40% of the weight, water again. Sooner if you see the plant wilting

Stick with it and you will get there. I had yellow leaves many many grows but still got to harvest.

You are getting there. Each grow you will learn more more and get better.
Honestly, I grow mostly in a greenhouse with 50/50 coco/perlite, so my comments are colored by experience with that set up.
Lots of good advice from the others, so I will only mention the below

- "local, normal soil". What is that? Did you dig up some outside dirt and toss it in with your peat moss and perlite? Outdoor soil is for in the ground plants. Bringing it into your tent highly increases the chances of infecting your grow with insects/eggs and plant pathogens. If you need soil in your mix, buy some Fox Farms Happy Frog which is sterile but ammended with mychorrizae.

- Next grow, maybe try a pot of pure coco/perlite? You can buy a bag pre- mixed. I NEVER have overwatering issues with c/p. Douse the plants daily to runoff until harvest with GH Trio nutes.

Successful gardening is either dumb luck or the result of careful planning. I do the above to eliminate two common problems - pest/pathogen infection and overwatering.

I have 3 fans installed 1 to move air placed above the LED and 1 for exhaust and 1 getting fresh air in. ~50CFM per fan which is not bad and only thing that i found to be that strong for a 12v computer fan.

My challenge I live in Middle East and its very hard to get Cannabis stuff from the US and mmuch more expensive like a Fox Farm small bag costs around $90. Also fertilizers here are very hard like the most common and found multi purpose is 20-20-20 in NPK imagine that so I feed with very small amounts every 1/2 week with watering.

thank you for recommending the sensor I need one, watering is my challenge as well with peat moss.

i actually have very limited and bad options for soil i wish i can get Fox Farm stuff. can only get peatmoss and coco however i thought peat moss would be easier tbh taking into consideration that coco needs cal mag nutrients and i worried i might mess things up.

I agree however last time i watered i checked the PH for the run off water and it was 7.0. is it possible this is my issue then? i guess i have to water with 5.8 PH next time.
 
Peat moss is too low in pH for cannabis.

Typically it is amended with lime in an effort to fix this, but amendments are temporary typically and lime breaks down and can burn roots.

Measuring runoff pH is not a reliable measure of pH at the roots.

Adjusting pH inputs higher may work but you now have a high calcium medium which can lead to other issues.

Stay away from peat moss for cannabis. Some here may be using it successfully but it is a lot of trial and error to get it right.

Do you live the US or Canada? Online and brick/mortar grow stores are common supply sources. If you are overseas or live in a "cultivation illegal" jurisdiction, be very careful. The state imposed penalities can be far worse than the benefits of a home grow.

I should follow up. I see now that you are in the Middle East. For my outside grows in a hot, dry USA desert climate, I simply use 15-15-15 slow release garden fertlizer. When I see first bud pistils I switch to a LOW N, high P and K bloom fertlizer. This should work. Got almost two pounds from one outside plant last fall.
 
You can make cal/mag at home with epsom salts , eggshells and white vinegar, look it up lots of info. You could use that with the coco.
I have never tried mind you.
It is a classic gardening hack
