I have used this pipe a few different times and here is my review of it:
It's very neat in it's concept but fails to meet the claims it makes. For starters, it is NOT wind proof. I used it in light wind and unless I cupped my hand as a shield, no luck getting it to hit. Next, if you use a fresh Bic lighter, the flame is actually too high to pull over to the bowl so basically you end up drawing really hard and barely getting anything unless you use a slightly used lighter. Third, the bowl is held on via magnet but it comes off pretty easy if you nudge it so putting it in and out of your pocket can cause the bowl to fall off. Fourth, you can ONLY USE IT RIGHT HANDED! I am a righty so not a big deal but if you are a lefty, this thing is going to probably suck for you. Fifth, you need both hands to use it even though it is advertised as a one-hand use pipe.
Final thoughts....it was cheap enough (under 10 bucks) to try out but I am not a huge fan of it. I will likely use it a few more times to get some use out of it but I don't think it's what I was looking for in a portable pipe for use while kayaking. One positive note, there is a built-in poker in the bottom of the device but it's a pain to get out and it's plastic so it would melt if you used it on anything hot.
