Have you ever mixed Coir with Soil?

I was wondering if anyone has ever mixed soil with coir and whether they have had good or bad results.

I have some used FoxFarm Ocean and some used Coir (just Coir no perlite or vermiculite mixed in) from a previous "inherited" plant. I thought I might try to mix them and see what kind of results I get unless of course others have tried it and gotten lousy results.

Have you had any experience doing this?

I'm having good results about 30 percent coco coir and 70 mix of promix, cactus soil, African violet soil, and Lotsa perlite and have been having good results and low use of nutrients.
