Hi Everybody and happy growing :) I'm a newbie growing 3 indica Diablo strain where 2 plants are in their 3 wk. of the bloom cycle and 1 plant, the tallest, 4th wk. of bloom cycle and I have 2 questions. My eye loupe will not be delivered until the 15th of Feb. and I was wondering if I have time to view the buds before over ripening the plants. I want to harvest when trichsomes will have the highest amount of THC and some over ripening for the couch lock. My second question is my grow tent is in my bedroom can I be experiencing the effects of the very thick, heavy fragrance from the blooming? I notice the fragrance is the heaviest at night after the lights have gone off. I'm waking up feeling a bit stoned. I'm not complaining as I have no problem with a wake and bake. :)

looking good, I'd say you've got a few more weeks to go before you need to worry about checking the trichomes. I don't know that strain myself but I'd let those girls fill in for 3-4 more weeks at least. The pistils are all still sticking straight out and pale which looks like early mid flowering to my eye.

I'm new enough still learning but I notice that there are a few things about growing pot that everyone is in agreement on and when to harvest and curing are 2 that don't have a lot of varation in opinions. my last was an aurora and very sugary(lots of trichomes) I harvested when they were pretty much 100% milky and a few were turning amber. I think I read that's about as high a thc content you get. I also think I read that if you wait the more amber shows up the less thc and more cbn's you get. the aurora was very good and got smoother and better during the cure. new enough that if some of my info isn't right others will correct me or explain it better. good luck and those are nice looking plants

Thanks for the suggestion and it sounds right to me. The plants are stretching but slow and less pruning is needed. I'm using cardboard to spread colas for light through the canopy and it's working well right now. I will however use a manifold of eight colas as suggested next grow, I've learned more about growing and plant anatomy now with this forum. :)
