Hash talk

Gotta say... I like hash. Vaporizing in the bowl instead of igniting it makes for a fruity hash flavor. Takes a couple hours to go through a pea size piece. I might be onto something, here. Dabbing is still where it's at but hash ain't as bad as you people say.
 
big fan of hash, gonna try nebulas dry ice technique in the fall. 1982-83 was in beirut lebanon with the U.S.M.C. and you could get a pie plate chunk of leb. blond hash for $5 or 3-hot chocalate pks. damn if i knew then what i know now

Dry ice you say? Made this batch from the last photo runs trim and larf last week. Put the weed in the freezer for 24 hours and used a 73 micron bag this time. Smaller chunks of dry ice seemed to break it up better. Came out a lovely shade of blonde/beige. Made some brownies with it and forgot where I put the thing.

I'm definitely getting some dry ice this year. Not the easiest thing to get in these parts. Going to clear out some inventory.
 
The secret to decarbing shatter is time. t'aint like decarbing weed where you watch the time. Decarbing shatter is all about waiting for the bubbles to stop and the shatter to clarify. Using a glass bowl is the best because you can watch the bubbling and clarity without opening the oven. The last gram I did took a little over an hour at 240°. This time I did 2 grams, and it took better than an hour and a half.

Do you do it by hand or have the Bubble Magic? I've never made any w/o the machine. Stirring that mix by hand looks like manual labor.
 
The plant material and ice go in the clean bucket to be washed and then it gets poured into the bucket with the bags,I did that twice and ended up with this, it won't get weighed until it's dried

I weighed the hash just for the hell of it,24 grams with the screen,I don't know the math to figure out the % ,I washed 15.5 Oz of material and got 24 grams of hash
 
5.46 percent yield, assuming it is dry and not subtracting the weight of the screen which really should not be included.
