harvesting seeds

I am having trouble getting my newly harvested seeds to to germinate. Most are dark and marbled and they were harvested in early October. Any suggestions? should there be a Time period between harvest and planting?

What's your germination method? Warm and moist is all you should need.

Fully matured seeds can be sprouted immediately.

I used the wet paper towel method and got 2 out of 20 to sprout. I also put 10 in peat pellets and got no germination. I have used the peat pellets on all my on my seed bank seeds and almost all germinated last spring. Don't know why?

Put them in a glass of water for a day or so and wait until they sink to bottom, when you see it crack, then put it into the paper towel..

Put seed in medium..water..done...

Paper towel ....lol....why play with them that much...that's an old school way that should of never been started...

My $.02

They like it warm. I've had mine sprout in 24-36 hrs under a warm T5 stove light in soil.

agreed! you are usually tearing off roots separating them from the fuckin paper towel. Now I just have to convince my wife. Where you been Green, and why were you demoted to guest?
