Harvest time?

I don’t want to wait too long. I over did it on the seeds. I wanted some but….
we are expecting a bunch of rain after the weekend and would rather not take any chances. This is Heirloom Columbian Gold about 8 feet tall from seeds germinated in early May.

I got the seeds from a friend of a friend who picked them up 25 or more years ago and has avoided cross breeding.

Try covering it if there is going to be a lot of rain and cooler temps. Anything below 10[SUP]C[/SUP] is bad for a wet plant and the longer they sit in that kind of condition, the more likely you get bud rot.
