Hi all,

I have just harvested my first plant. Very happy to get this far, a couple of questions that have me concerned
1. when creating butter is it best to dry the offcuts just like the buds or can you start after the buds have been trimmed ??/
2 So I have already trimmed my plant but have the main bud still on the plant = I need to know if not cutting it now will it grow bigger????

Thanks all - What a Great site

If your ready to dry the flowers take the buds off the plant to hang dry from a line, or similar drying tech. The product/trim for making butter needs to be decarbed first. Decarb is the process of using low heat to activate all the thc in your trim/buds for butter making. I know there is a whole write up here on the GWE site, give the search a try.

hey nick I have tried leafs in veg and in bloom ,I take my leafs then saute them over low heat for about a half hour then make a omelet of what ever you want

Thanks guys, already making butter the wife has done it about 20 times and her cookies come out very good, so will use the cuttoffs now. and will let the single bud go for another week
