Harvest Conundrum

I have situation weather wise with my first outdoor grow.
I live in southern oregon and we have had cold weather this week.
Past 5 days have been frosty, with two days at 27 and 24 degrees f.

My girls still look OK (few fan leaves curling).

My trics are cloudy but I would like a bit more amber.

I would guess they have been in flower for 6 weeks.

I am expecting the weather to moderate for a few days before we get some rain, like in the upper 60s to low 70s.


So after looking at the pictures what do you think?

I don't want to deal with mold…..

This is 5ft fencing.

You can see the frost damage.

Here are some pictures of the trics.

I couldn't get real good picture because I wanted to reach the tops.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Outstanding job on those! Trichs look super milky. At 6 weeks that's a bit early for NL. With moderating temps on the way you can probably wait and they should only get better. Any sight of mold would certainly be a trigger to take em down.

Hello neighbor (i'm in SoOr) I've got 2 to go also, one like yours milky and one clear. I've supercropped to put them under a ezup and also now there enjoying what's left of sunshine. I'm letting them go till I see some amber for sure. I've had to harvest some plants just cloudy do to bud rot but still have decent harvest. I'm in a forested area kinda protected from freezes but still got low temps. I just want good air flow and no rain on them anymore. Good airflow at this point will be key. Put them in a barn or supercrop and put them where they'll get airflow. Super sticky is great but it also helped to increase bud rot being cold so airflow forsure. My 2cents good luck.

Those are some ass kicking plant my friend. If you think it will freeze, I would harvest now. Be a shame to look outside and see your plants all mushy from frost. My 2 cents.

What kind of range do you folks out in Oregon have? Meaning, if I start my garden seed in March, I can typically be frost free just before Memorial Day and live frost free til an oddity cold snap maybe 2nd week of October or possibly later

Around here I can plant my garden usually frost free by mid to end of April
(I use plant starts so seeds could be planted sooner)
that is good untill october
(Just picked the last of my tomatoes and peppers)

Milky white is ok to harvest. The terps increase with a bit more ambers. If it’s not raining yet, could you possibly put a fan on them? If so, you can avoid the mold issues. If there is nothing you can do, I would think about harvesting early. Especially if freezing temps are coming to your local area.

Dang this property looks way to familiar LOL but I have more fir trees. And acorns are huge and so plentiful this fall most I've seen in a while. I put my garden veggies out by mothers day, but I put my weed out to early got that early summer feeling for few wks but it bit me in the buttocks! Last two plants i'm stressing them ( some folks don't like hearing that but I really bend them up right now trying to speed up finishing) My buds will be less than cotton ball size on these two but they'll give me several oz each.
I'm more in the mountains by the way kinda in a bowl/canyon don't get but 8 max in my garden on my property. Use to go deep in the woods when younger lots of open areas I knew of, no more just doing it at home now. Much safer at our place. Good luck!

Not much different where i'm at but go 70mi N or S there could be a 20degree temp flux. People are still harvesting toms, peppers are really colorful now. I put my veggie garden in most every thing by Mothers Day.

So if you guys have nearly 5 months of grow weather and the sunlight shift to 12 hours occurs somewhere in the end of August, why is there a shortage of finishing time in the outdoor grow?

Seems like my two outdoor girls didn't really start flowering until the first of September
My indoor girls took 10 weeks flowering.
I put these two outside the first of may.
Don't know why but they are not quite ready.

Maybe a bit of light deprivation starting in August to allow the 12/12 a 10day extension?

That would help.
For my first outdoor try I wanted to keep it simple.
Guess that is why farming is sometimes a crap shoot 🙃
