Southwestern part, I think. Of Course they claimed it to be worth a $billion, illegal immigrants working there, baled and hanging. Who do we know they? LOL

SoOrbudgal I just learned last night that the 420doggone guy who got fame from riding his longboard to work on the highway in CA when his car broke down, drinking Ocean Spray while playing Fleetwood Mac, has a CBD farm in Oregon.
 
Yeah a bit of extra money Puglover1 lolll but don't take me as an illegal immigrant, I've got my own grow here lolll

Going on my 12 weeks with the autos, I say some are ready and some not... What baffle me is the Amnesia Haze got more amber than the GG4 and the Haze is more sativa dominant than the GG4. Go figure !! Anyway I'm chopping one Haze tomorrow she got over 30% amber.

Farmbuck I was looking at your pics earlier today, saw a lot of amber in one. Looking good, you have work ahead.

I'm feeling melancholy. If only I could've gotten/kept the grow watered I'm capable of tending them now, they're not downstairs, the stretch would be over, buds growing. My nephew was here once if I'd needed help with something besides the new phone not transferring contacts. I got a clothes dryer but still need to attack the mountain of laundry downstairs. I would've prioritized my time and energy to the girls, I was enjoying that grow, the soil, ease, better lights and pots. Past is past. I'm trying to decide whether to totally clean this house and get laundry caught up, or work on starting a grow and doing minimal housework until things are up and running. I need another me, or someone to hangout while I'm working on things. Like, painting alone kind of sucks but having someone to chat with while you're working takes your mind off of the mundaneness. Spotify can only do so much. A good, long-time trustworthy friend lives 2 minutes away, likes a chance to get away from her hubby since they're both retired, but she's on blood thinners and the weather has been too crumby to lock the pugs outside.
 
500,000 pounds. They must have had at least a dozen grow tents. Cheech & Chong all over again.
 
I read about it just briefly. Almost weekly since mid Oct. have seen huge busts and even a mistake from a CBD gummy maker who didn't use low THC weed but tested for high vol. of THC ( i'm not sayin this right but folks got too high ) really?? Bad for the legit, some really stupid greedy shit goes on. Sloppy, greedy bad for the industry and dangerous for the workers.
 
It is amazing, so many illegal grows in legal states, or even licensed grows selling it under the table, even shipping over seas. So many busts here they changed some rules for commercial growers.
To those dudes from down south, you cant just come in and cut down the national forest and grow weed. We do still have cameras and still know how to use them, we will catch you! I suppose if free room and board is what your after, go for it.
 
Yeah, I'm amazed at how fun and interesting it is to actually grow our favorite plant versus how evil and awful the commercial side of cannabis is!

The nexus of Weed + Money + Politics is pretty toxic and seems to draw a bad lot of people. Here in New England, the street buzz is that you shouldn't even try to get into commercial growing if you don't have at least a million dollars for permits, inspections and payoffs! And that's at a time when the street market is flooded with smoky stink weed from last summer's west coast fires.

And, and and... The weed I've tried from the local Dispo was expensive junk. *Sheesh*

PS, apologies if there are any legal commercial growers here, I'm sure you went into biz with the right motives.
 
Ya, it is greed that makes things go sour. There are so many underground grows that the street price is dropping while at the same time the dispo price is rising. I've never even been inside one. I went to the website of one place and they were asking $800.00 per oz. That is just crazy. I wouldn't go there just because they had the balls to ask that price.
 
Just to add to the bizarre cannabis scene, I stopped by my first dispo today to look around. Not impressed. Then I finally saw the weed. It was in sealed black plastic bags. It was priced $27.99 / 100g. I asked the guy if I was reading that right. He said yes. I asked if I could see it, he said it was sealed in the bag and could not be opened. I commented on the price and he started rambling on about getting good import prices from Thailand.That is when I stopped listening to anything he said. He was definitely buzzed on something. There were some samples on the top shelf, looked like brown dirt weed from the 70's. WTF?
 
Such a bunch of BS Ckbrew really Thailand i think they kill folks over there for growing it, import WTF that punk at depo is a typical know nothing. This is all i'm hearing about right now is this big ass bust from my friends who grow legal.
 
@sorbudgal, did your friends know whose grows got busted?

I gather it wasn't locals but newcomer's, sort of a cartel guerilla grow circa 2021. Brazen suckers!

PS, Thailand??? LOL.
 
Ever been to a burn? A place I worked did burns for the local LEOs, it was fun getting in and helping, then when the smoke was rolling good a dude went behind and we tossed trash bags full over to him while he stuck then under floor plates. It was also funny watching the darker folks climbing up into the smoke and hanging there.
