Gypsy moth caterpillars

There are a ton of gypsy caterpillars in my yard rn and I plan to put my plants outdoors in about 2 weeks. Are they going to annihilate my girls?

Yes. They eat leaves and poop everywhere and then the poop creates mold. There are a few brands that make a product called "BT" it's short for a bacteria name. This bacteria messes with the digestive system of the caterpillars and they die in a day or two. So periodical sprays will eradicate them good luck. Google it

Depending on how heavy your gypsy moth population is, there may be some caterpillars that start chewing your cannabis. However, last June when my outdoor autos were surrounded by a bad gypsy moth season, I noticed barely none on the cannabis. They can be particular about their preferred food source, so maybe you won't have a problem. This year I used the BT spray on some small trees (caterpillars still small at a young stage),and it was very effective! 😊

They eat my tomatoes and okra like crazy and leave the cannabis alone. I have tiny grasshoppers now and they are eating the very oldest leaves on my just about ready autos. They are doing the trimming for me. They are not eating any new growth on the cannabis but heavily eating the sunflowers.
