With the guidance of others, it turns out that onions are more suitable for growing in winter.
 
I have green onions planted with the tomato plants out back. Never harvest them, let em go to seed and come next year. Keeps the squirrels away from the 'maters. ;)
 
It's a lovely day in the neighborhood ehhhhh today on this post how about mixing those onions with tomatoes maybe even a few ghost peppers chop those up real fine.
